He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Ida Mae Reed; sisters, Norma Gray and Maple Lemley; brother, Irvin Reed.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Cynthia Reed-Lofton (Duggar) and Shayla Massey (Jason); grandchildren, Jace, Chasen, Henley, and Harper; mother of his children, Cathy Reed; siblings, Lena Covington (Dillard), Johnny Reed (Joann), Ike Reed (Ann), Mike Reed (Lila), Leverta ''Tootsie'' Strahan, Jeanette McNeill (Michael), Lee ''BooBoo'' Reed (Carla), Josie Byrd (Joe), Theodore Reed (Misty), and Kirk Reed; three nieces raised like sisters, Janie, Mitzy, and Sally; devoted friends, Ronnie Johnston, Lester Orso, and Donnie Ray Reed; a host of nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
A wake will be held for Lonnie Thursday, March 31, 2022, beginning at 6pm at Magnolia Holiness Church. The funeral service will be held at 2pm Friday, April 1, 2022, with Bro. Ike Reed officiating.
