James Roger Hayes, a resident of Fruitdale, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, May 04, 2021. He was 66 years old. Roger was born October 04, 1954. He worked for many years as a corrosion expert at Florida Gas Transmission. He also was a member of the American Legion Post 164 where he helped serve with the honor guard. Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Christel Hayes. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Josh and Jason Hayes; granddaughter, Cayleigh; and other relatives and friends. Roger was loved by many and will be greatly missed. A wake will be held for Roger from 6pm until 9pm Saturday, May 08, 2021, at Freeman Funeral Home.
