Joel Byrd, a native and resident of McIntosh, Alabama, passed away Sunday, May 02, 2021. He was 53 years old. Joel was born September 07, 1967. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Joel loved to spend time with his grandkids, grill out on the weekends, and go to the creek. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Joel was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and other family members.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Lisa Byrd; children, Shawn Byrd, Johnathan Byrd (Marissa), and Kayla Byrd (Eric Johnston); eight grandchildren; sister, Angela Stephens; a host of nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held for Joel at his daughter’s house at a later date.
