I served in the Army.
Leland Elijah Lewis, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022, at Springhill Medical Center. He was 68 years old. Leland served his country in the United States Army, and later did land clearing for many years. Leland loved hard and cared for everyone. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help others in need. In his spare time, Leland enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, his tractors, spending time friends, and most of all, being dedicated to his family, especially his daughter, granddaughter, and beloved dogs. Leland was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Leland was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Gloria Lewis; and sister, Audrey Caylor.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Rachel Rhoat (Daniel); granddaughter, Kairi; siblings, Archie Lewis, Jr., John Lewis, Ray Lewis (Margaret), Rachel Stanley (Paul), Bobbie Lewis, and Anita Patel (Larry); brother and best friend until the end, Roy Smith; other relatives; and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am memorial service Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Lewis officiating.
