Raymond Pellie Reed

Raymond Pellie Reed, a resident of McIntosh, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021. He was 74 years old. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family, especially his wife, Dotsy. Raymond also loved going to church and singing there.

Raymond was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Dotsy Reed; parents, Van and Ruth Reed; and brother, Framon Reed.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Stephanie Naramore, Kelvin Ray Reed (Tracie), Chassidy Orso (Michael), and James Elliot Weaver (Brandy); grandchildren, Bill, Hannah, Logan, Loren, Jacob, Austin, Jasmine, Kayleigh, and Colin; great-grandchildren, Raymond, Zayleigh, Oakland, and Kashton; siblings, Garnie Nelson, Una (Larry) Poston, Bonnie Reed, Nadine Byrd, and Reyna Davis.

A wake will be held for Raymond from 6pm until 9pm Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Freeman Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2pm Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Reed's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Orso and Rev. Wilbert Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Reed's Chapel Cemetery.
