Jackie Leigh Skipper, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Springhill Medical Center. She was 32 years old, born October 21, 1988. She was a very good daughter and mother who loved her kids more than life itself. She loved working outside in the nursery and being on her family houseboat. Jackie also enjoyed spending time at the ballpark. Most of all, Jackie loved spending time with her family and being with her siblings, nieces and nephews, parents, and kids. Her family and friends will miss her greatly.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, C.M. and Ruth Skipper; great aunt, Nell Gibson; uncles, Ed Flint, Skippy, and R.B. Miles; and special friends, Stephanie Cain and Tall Country.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Talen Skipper, Tenley Skipper, and Joseph Tate Skipper; mother, Nancy Skipper; father, Joseph Skipper; siblings, Jessica (Mike) Johnson, Jody (Heather) Skipper, Joshua (Jewel) Skipper, and Jenia (Warren) Weaver; nieces and nephews, Sara (Cameron) Moss, Shania (Steven) Johnson, Savannah Johnson, Skipper Johnson, Ryleigh Skipper, Ryan Skipper, Kiersten Skipper, Dalton Skipper, LuLu, Jason, Landen Skipper, Levi Weaver, and Lyle Weaver; great nephew, Beckett Moss; aunts, Cheryl Flint and Linda Miles; uncles, Gary (Kathy) Skipper, Terry (Cookie) Skipper, and Maurice Tucker; and many other loved ones and friends.
A wake will be held for Jackie Skipper from 6pm until 9pm Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 3pm Friday, July 30, 2021, at Restoration Church with Rev. John Blackwell officiating. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery. Thursday, July 29, 2021 I am truly sorry for your loss. Jackie was such a sweet and very likeable student while at Wesleyan. It was students like her that made it easy and enjoyable to go to work each day. I count it a privilege and a blessing to have had the opportunity to know Jackie.
