Wess McKinley Williams, a resident of Jackson, Alabama, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021. He was 73 years old. He served in the United States Air Force as an Administrative Specialist. Wess enjoyed playing his saxophone, fishing, and cooking on the grill. He also loved his Red Silverado. Most of all, Wess was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. Wess was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Katherine Lewis; father, Willie McCree; and grandmother, Christine Land. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jacquelyn Williams; daughters, Navanna Lovise Williams and Nicole Ward; son, Anthony; three grandchildren; one great granddaughter; siblings, Tony Lewis (Martha), Chris Hopes (Kenny), Carolyn Smith (Fred), Charles Lewis (Fraces), Carl Lewis (Sharon), and Andrea Swift; devoted friends, Larry Stephenson and Lou Hill; and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 1pm until the 2pm funeral service Saturday, July 03, 2021, at Freeman Funeral Home, with Pastor Fred McCann officiating.
