Annie Kate Deas Jones, age 89, passed away on December 23, 2021, at her residence. Kate, as she was known, was born February 21, 1932, in Grove Hill, Alabama, to the late Edley and Gracie Deas. She was one of five children, three of which preceded her in death. Kate married the late Raymon Jones February 28, 1948, and nine children were born from this union, five of which preceded her in death; Owen Wayne Jones, Samuel Hilton Jones, Bobby Joe Jones, Willie Ray Jones, and Wanda Kay Jones; as well as one grandson, Hilton Leon Jones. Kate was a member of Saraland Church of Christ for approximately 60 years.

She is survived by her four children, Donald Earl Jones (Edna) of Satsuma, Shelia Ann Harris (Raymond) of Montgomery, Brenda Lee Loper (Alfred Ray) of Citronelle, and David Allen Jones (Margaret) of Citronelle; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-four greatgrandchildren, and three great-greatgrandchildren; one brother, Trinnon Deas of Mobile; and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12pm until the 1pm funeral service Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Freeman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Jones Chapel Cemetery in Coffeeville, Alabama. Online register available at www.freemancitronelle.com. Freeman Funeral Home - Citronelle, Alabama
