Theodore Weaver, a resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama, passed away Monday, January 23, 2023. He was 78 years old. Theodore loved people, especially children, He was fun loving and enjoyed to play bingo. He never met a stranger and always enjoyed making people laugh. Most of all, Theodore loved his family, and they will miss him greatly.

Theodore was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ophelia Weaver; infant daughter, Kimberly Weaver; wife, Jettie Weaver; siblings, Minnie Weaver and Vermell Rivers; and grandchildren, Chase Weaver, Eric Weaver, and Lane Dean.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Dorothy Weaver; children, Villard Weaver (Tracie), Betty Weaver, Charles Weaver, and Gloria Dueitt (Mace);fourteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Ada Byrd (George), Ola Davis (Richard), Sheila Byrd (Jr.), Melissa Johnston (Marvin), Carol Evans, Bruce Weaver, and Clyde Weaver (Carolyn); special friends, Roger Weaver and Roland Byrd; a host of nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends.

A wake will be held for Theodore from 6pm until 9pm Wednesday, January 25, 2023, with the Rosary beginning at 5:45pm, at Freeman Funeral Home. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11am Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Saint Theresa Catholic Church with Rev. John Coghlan officiating. Burial will follow in Byrd Cemetery.
