Eliza V. Sullivan, a resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022. She was 71 years old. Eliza was born October 25, 1950. She worked as a nurse for many years and attended Lighthouse of Praise Church. She enjoyed going to church, her flowers, and fishing in her spare time. Most of all, Liza loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Liza was preceded in death by her parents, Fletcher and Frankie Byrd; siblings, Barbara Weaver, Houston Weaver, Jeanette Byrd, Fletcher Byrd, Jr., and Jimmy Byrd.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Kenneth Sullivan; children, Angelia Byrd, Debbie Byrd Weaver (Perry), and Daniel Sullivan (Nicole); grandchildren, Dustin Williams, Jorjalyn Weaver, Landon Sullivan, Ashlynn Sullivan, Jeremy Weaver, Perry Weaver, Jr., and Brent Weaver (Kristen); brother, Jesse Byrd; special nieces, Barbara Davis (Henry) and Maraela Blackwell; special nephew, Drake Byrd (Hallie); a host of nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service Monday, September 19, 2022, at Lighthouse of Praise Holiness Church with Rev. Ken Davis and Rev. Jesse Byrd officiating.
