Martha Ann Matthews

Martha Ann Matthews, a resident of Wilmer, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at her home. She was 74 years old. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Donna Bentley and Wanda Denise Duncan; stepson, Brett Matthews; grandchildren, Dennis Bentley, Jr., Donald Ott, Destiny Duncan, and Deonna Gattis; six great-grandchildren; close friends and caregivers, Carlisle Williams, Sarah Buckley, and Becky Skanes; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Leroy Ott and James Matthews; sister, Judy Mattern; and brother, Donald Woodard; and parents, Sam and Essie Woodard. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service Friday, April 29, 2022, at Freeman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
