Margie Ellen Byrd Sullivan, a resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, April 25, 2021. She was 86 years old. Margie loved to spend time with her family and loved to travel. She was a loving mother to nine children and devoted her life to them. Margie was a member of Lighthouse of Prayer and Refuge for Souls churches, both pastored by her children. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Margie was preceded in death by five children, Joyce, Wayne, Dossie, Legis, and Alfred; husbands, George Sullivan and Monroe Sullivan; and her loving friend, Betty Williams.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Wanda Johnston (Bobby), Josephine Bradford (Johnny), Perry Sullivan, and Charlene Robinson (Jeff); twenty-six grandchrildren; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Beatrice Hopkins, Audrey Byrd, and Windell Byrd; and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service Friday, April 30, 2021, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Byrd Cemetery. Online condolences may be given at www.freemancitronelle.com. Freeman Funeral Home – Citronelle, Alabama
