Mary J. Baxter

Mary J. Baxter, a native of Citronelle, Alabama, and a resident of Milton, Florida, passed away Wednesday, September 07, 2022. She was 88 years old. Mary loved the outdoors and had a passion for being in her flower beds. She always had a green thumb and enjoyed being able to grow a variety of plants and flowers. Mary also had a love for animals and adored her beloved dogs. Most of all, Mary loved to take care of and spend time with her family, and they will miss her greatly.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Hattie Johnston; and brothers, Leroy Johnston and J.C. Johnston.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 70 years, Earl Baxter; children, Shirley Stokes and Roy Baxter; grandson, Jacob Robinson; and other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service Monday, September 12, 2022, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Weaver officiating.
