Una Poston

Una Poston, a resident of McIntosh, Alabama, passed away Thursday, July 07, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 77 years old. Una was born February 18, 1945. She was a Godly woman who loved going to church and lived her life as an example of God's love every day. She had a very loving heart and always made sure her family was taken care of. In her spare time, Una enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking for her family and the community, and putting together puzzles. She was a beloved woman in the community and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Una was preceded in death by her parents, Van and Ruth Reed; and brothers, Framon Reed and Raymond Reed (Dotsy).
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Larry Poston, Sr.; children, Larry Poston, Jr. (Ashleigh), Judith Rushing (Anthony), Stephanie Adams, and Noelle Dortlon (Chris); grandchildren, Braelen Poston (Morgan), Baleigh Poston, London Rushing, Ezra Rushing, Hadlee Rushing, Jackson Melvin, Wren Melvin, Daniel Adams, and Michael Adams; sisters, Garnie Nelson, Bonnie Reed, Nadine Byrd, and Rayna Davis; sister-in-law, Johnnie V Reed; a host of nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends.
A wake will be held for Una from 6pm until 9pm Saturday, July 09, 2022, at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2pm Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Rivers of Living Water Church, with Rev. Eddie Rivers, Rev. Wilbert Reed, and Rev. Clevon Weaver officiating.
