Velma Lorene Lovelace Velma Lorene Lovelace, a resident of McIntosh, Alabama, was called home on Saturday, May 14, 2022. She was 70 years old. Velma was born September 07, 1951. After graduating Acadia Baptist Academy in Eunice, Louisiana, she served her country in three separate branches of the United States Military. After completing her service, she returned home to McIntosh, Alabama, to help care for her brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. She was well known throughout her community and will be remebered for her intellect, independence, animated personality, and very extensive travel. Velma was a modern day road warrior, but above all, she was a loving mother and mother figure to many who pushed and valued education.
