Mary Catherine McGill
November 6, 1935 - April 9, 2021
Mary Catherine McGill, a native of Citronelle, AL, exchanged life for eternity on April 9th, 2021. Catherine was a dedicated member of Whatley Holiness Church, where she served, taught Sunday School, and played the piano for many years. Catherine loved cooking and fixing sweet treats for her family and friends, enjoyed crocheting, working in her garden, and most of all, serving the Lord and others. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, fun and caring grandmother, a loyal sister, a dedicated and faithful Christian, and a mighty prayer warrior.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Norville Yuille McGill; parents, Daniel Edward and Gladys Marie Whatley; brother, Milton Whatley; and sister, Emily Dickinson.
Left to cherish her memory is her children, Deborah Sullivan and Darlene Fenton; Grandchildren Chanda Malone Butts, Christi Stringer (Judson), Brittany Pate (Brandon), and Kayla Malone (Jeremy); Bonus Grandchild, Hannah Templeton (Ben); Great Grandchildren, Roddy, Gabe, Gavin, Gaines, Logan, Brooklyn, Tyler, and Tucker; Siblings, Dan Whatley, Dorothy Hamilton, Winnie Hardee, and Helen Lloyd (Jimmy); Precious nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2 pm until the service 3 pm funeral service on Sunday, April 11th, 2021, at Whatley Holiness Church, with Rev. Gaylon Cunningham and Rev. Jimmy Lloyd officiating. Burial will be in Whatley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Buster Hardee, Jim Lloyd, Chris Lloyd, Ben Templeton, J.D. Hamilton, and Wesley Lloyd.
