Simon Gullie Donald, Jr. Simon Gullie Donald, Jr., a resident of Chunchula, Alabama, passed away Monday, April 05, 2021. He was 70 years old. He was known as Coach Simon for his many years of dedicated coaching for Citronelle Youth Athletics. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He always kept a smile on your face with his many stories and jokes. Simon was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Simon was preceded in death by Ashley Shereen Donald, Amanda Crawford, Gullie and Earline Donald, Brenda Payne, and Windie Barker. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 25 years, Linnie Donald; children, Simon Donald, III, Chris Donald, David Donald, Brandi Tucker, Scott Crawford, Jada Donald, Brooklyn Donald, Katlyn Sampson, Aalivia Sampson and Makyla Sampson; grandchildren, Nick, Damian, Whitney, Corinthian, Brianna, Blakeley, Jocelyn, Tonie, Chloe, Preston, Jeremy, EJ and Robert; great grandchildren, Aydin, Jayce, Christian and Kinsley; siblings, Robert Donald (Donna), Kathy Cunningham and James Donald (Charlene); and other relatives and friends. A wake will be held for Simon from 6pm until 9pm Thursday, April 08, 2021, at Freeman Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service Friday, April 09, 2021, at Restoration Church with Rev. John Blackwell and Rev. Clay Lewis officiating.
